PART 2: IS CELESTIAL CHURCH DOING WELL IN EVANGELISM? THE ANSWERS WILL SHOCK YOU!

Some respected people bearing the ranks of Shepherd, Prophets or Evangelists do not even know their key responsibilities. They have no impact in evangelism to bring in new people of different tribes, races or religious ideologies to the kingdom of God. I mean Kingdom of God, not just to become church members.

According to the Wikipedia online “Christians who specialize in evangelism are often known as evangelists, whether they are in their home communities or living as missionaries in the field, although some Christian traditions refer to such people as missionaries in either case. Some Christian traditions consider evangelists to be in a leadership position; they may be found preaching to large meetings or in governance roles. In addition, Christian groups who encourage evangelism are sometimes known as evangelistic or evangelist.”

Unfortunately, most Evangelists only know how to wear their fine church robes to church, they have less or no impact in evangelism outside the Church to convert new souls to Christ. Why tag yourself as an Evangelist when you are never involved in converting new souls to Christ? Some Evangelists are bad examples of Christians in their neighborhood but they look like saints in Church. The Shepherds are not left out too, because as heads of the parishes, basically all Shepherds are evangelists. Shepherds need to evaluate themselves in evangelism monthly and annually.

My appeal to the Church Authority, parishes, shepherds, evangelists and evangelism department is the need to reform and prioritize Evangelism in converting new souls to Christ, not just being members of the Church.

Evangelism departments of the Church/parishes, please track the records of new members or visitors and do follow up with them. Make sure your end goal is for them to be truly born again, not just being Church members. Set up weekly, monthly and yearly programs and projects to utilise some forms of Evangelism to spread the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. Stop organising Revivals or Crusade just for the sole purpose of selling spiritual items, having a party-like praise session, prayers and others. In every program you plan, your priority must be to have people from in or outside the Church give their lives to Christ genuinely. Let us invest on digital media to spread the gospel of Christ.

If as a Parish or evangelism department, you have not intentionally brought in new people to Christ then you have failed in evangelism. Do not just relax and wait for people to become members themselves. Make strategic, consistent and intentional efforts to convert new people to Christ. The church media and the evangelism departments should work in harmony to feed the audience online with the gospel. A parish media that does not have at least one quarter of its online content based on sermons and inspirations on converting people to Christ has failed!

Together, we can change this weak custom of evangelism in our Church and start working in accordance with true evangelism for the kingdom of God.

Please watch out for the concluding part (part 3) with video attachment to back up this topic.
