IF YOU DEY FOR ME, I GO DEY FOR YOU. (PT 1)

These are some of the things you need to know and do in 2025. Just as the topic says, if you are there for me I’ll be there for you too. That is the trendy motto for the year 2025 in Nigeria and other african parts of the world. So you have to think more of making the better version of yourself and putting yourself first before others.

People can be selfish and wicked. They forget about the 99 good things you did and condemn you for the one error you make. Well, such is life. You always mean good for them when they are in their trying times but neglect you during yours. This hurt you so much from different friends and family but you keep being available for their needs irrespective of their past actions, but at the expense of your dear life?.

This year, you must change. Work towards developing yourself to a better version. Maintain a small circle of meaningful, selfless and inspiring friends. As you enlarge your coast of networking, maintain good relationships with impactful people but mark your boundaries on making everyone your intimate friend. Be intentional about the kind of friends and people you relate with intimately.

Love everyone but maintain necessary boundaries and limits. You do not have to prove to anyone that you are good and not wicked. Prioritise your mental health, finances, economic stability and peace before you set out to be available for somebody. Help when you need to but be intentional about making sacrifices. Not all persons are worth sacrificing for.

Here are ten key points below to guide you this year and more:

1) Do not expect too much from people. This will protect you from heartbreak as a result of disappointments from people.

2) Move on! Someone did bad to you… well that Human for you. Don’t worry or get bitter over it, if you do you may get high blood pressure or bad mood. Why let someone’s bad characters trouble get you anger and bad mood when the person in question is living happily and does not even care about you?

3) Help when you can without expecting favours or good deeds from the person you help. Do it for humanity and expect your reward from God.

4) Prioritise your mental health, financial and economic stability, growth and peace. Don’t let any friend or person drain you to the extent that it starts affecting you negatively.

5) Please stay away people who only know how to receive, collect and benefit from you always. They are around you mainly to receive or benefit everytime. They have nothing or less to offer you. They are capable of draining and manipulating you. Some of them even feel entitled to your money or assistance.
