IF YOU DEY FOR ME, I GO DEY FOR YOU. (PT 2)

Love everyone but maintain necessary boundaries and limits. You do not have to prove to anyone that you are good and not wicked. Prioritise your mental health, finances, economic stability and peace before you set out to be available for somebody. Help when you need to but be intentional about making sacrifices. Not all persons are worth sacrificing for.

Here are the remaining five(5) points from the ten(10) key points starting from the Part one of this topic to guide you this year and more:

6) Love everyone but don’t make most people your friends. Keep your intimate circle small and be intentional about those you allow into the intimate parts of your life.

7) Control your mouth. Stop telling anyone about your awful past. Be mindful of the secrets you reveal to people, even close friends.

8) Don’t inherit people’s enemies! If Mr A comes to gossip badly about Mr B, avoid such talks or just listen. Don’t react or condemn Mr B. Until you hear the full real story or Mr B’s side of the story, don’t consider Mr B a bad person or your enemy. In order not to lose the relationship you have with your benefactor or friend because he considers a mutual friend an enemy, you can limit your closeness or communication with the mutual friend but never make him your enemy too except he really did something hurtful, deadly or awful towards your benefactor or friend.

9) Never forget those that were there for you were in need. You should also reciprocate when they need help too. Regardless of people characters, be appreciative of their good deeds to you no matter how small it can be.

10) Sometimes, you may have to be available for certain people before you can know if they will also be available for you. At times, help when you can, attend people’s event when invited and check up on people randomly if you can. Who knows, some of them may return the favour.
