The term “Celestial” encompasses various meanings and can signify different things to different individuals. Some people associate it with heavenly bodies such as the sun, moon, and stars within a galaxy. Others interpret it as a word connected to spirituality. This is certainly aligned with the essence of what the Celestial Church represents. The book of Revelation 7:9 further emphasizes this by noting that individuals who have endured tribulation have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Regardless of whether you became a member of the church in 1947 or recently joined, there is a unifying purpose that connects us—the foundation of the church supported by the Holy Spirit. This is the pride we share as the body of Christ. Whether new or old, we are united. Alongside lawyers and doctors among us, we also have cleaners and gardeners. Our attire, our style of worship, and our honesty in Christ unite us, which is why we are referred to as Celestians. The manner in which we greet one another does not reflect any hierarchy either.
SERVICE
The act of serving God is an art that involves dedicating oneself fully and sincerely. Regardless of being new or old, Celestians has consistently set an example for others when it comes to participating in church services. Our services are held from Monday to Sunday, maintaining their consistency, even though we’ve observed that seventy percent of contemporary Celestians prefer attending services on Sundays. Twenty percent manage to join the service online due to work commitments. Unfortunately, the remaining individuals do not attend at all. Observing the number of worshippers present in church on Wednesdays and Fridays, it’s evident that there is a significant decline compared to the attendance we used to experience. When we observe the total number of worshippers present in church on Wednesdays and Fridays, it’s evident that there has been a significant decline compared to the past. It appears that contemporary Celestians have overlooked the importance of these gatherings for connecting with the Lord. One cannot anticipate blessings from a God whom they choose not to honor, especially when they have multiple chances to serve Him that they continue to neglect.
GROWTH
The concept of personal growth has become a distant idea for many of today’s youth. They appear to overlook that this is essential for becoming a fulfilled Christian. Even one of the disciples stated that faith without corresponding actions is meaningless. How can you measure your growth if you aren’t putting in substantial effort? Indeed, grace is present among us, but we seem to forget that to whom much is given, much is required. What effort are you investing in your life that indicates your growth? In this year of 2025, take initiative and engage in meaningful activities. God has consistently assured us that He will bless the work of our hands. This is also reflected in Deuteronomy 28:1, where He promises us divine elevation. How can you foster personal growth? You can partake in spiritual activities for God such as singing, playing musical instruments, ushering, and other roles where you can be of service. Beyond the church, consider pursuing vocational training or furthering your education to promote growth. Christianity does not render anyone ineffective; rather, it uses scripture to illuminate the importance of growth. Avoid being like the person who was entrusted with a talent but failed to utilize it wisely.
SALVATION
This represents the pinnacle of everything. It embodies the very purpose behind the foundation of this magnificent church. We are all acquainted with the phrase “celestial is the final vessel of deliverance.” Are you genuinely conveying the message you are proclaiming? This is how it was imparted to us. Are we still aligned with that direction? Are we still reflecting the vision that took Papa Oshoffa three months in the wilderness to realize through the work of the Holy Spirit? Are you not among those who criticize the shepherds and laborers in the vineyard? Are you not gossiping or undermining individuals in your congregation and beyond, fully aware that this concerns Christ, for whom salvation is being taught? How effectively are you spreading the message of Christ?. Celestial goes beyond the choice of expensive or cheap clothing, the amount of makeup worn, or the lifestyle being flaunted. The key question is: are you saved? How effectively are you sharing the teachings of Christ? This is what defines you as a true Celestial, regardless of your relationship with Christ, your family, and your work. This will help ensure that one does not miss out on heaven. The Celestial of the past and the Celestial of today share the same essence. Salvation through the Holy Spirit unites us, provided we stay true to the mission of this great church.
